Parts Washing & Cleaning

Here at Engine Reco & Parts, we utilize many types of parts cleaning processes – Manual Washing, Hot-Wash by Machine, Hot Tank and Spray, Cold Tank and Spray, Bead Blasting – whichever is the most suitable for the parts and tasks at hand.

All parts must be clean before and after reconditioning operations.

Upon arrival, all parts are washed according to their requirements, whether by hand, Tank cleaning, automated hotwash, or hot or cold tank cleaning and spray rinsing. This avoids any contamination of testing fluids and equipment and assists, along with testing, in an attempt to ensure that any cracks or faults that may render the part unserviceable are discovered prior to any repair orders being confirmed, or monies spent

Correct tank cleaning and pressure washing will also assist to ensure that all oil galleries are free of contaminants and impurities to enable correct lubrication.

Testing

At Engine Reco & Parts we have the facilities to carry out any tests necessary to ensure that any engine parts being assessed are in a serviceable condition and worthy of considering for reconditioning before any major funds are spent on potential repairs.

Reboring, Align Boring, Resleeving & Honing

Here at Engine Reco and Parts we are able to Rebore and/or Resleeve engines of all sizes from small single cylinders to V8’S, all the way from small motorcycles, to cars, utes, light commercials, heavy commercials, to Mack, Scania, GM, Volvo, Cummins, e.t.c. to large industrial and marine engines.

We can rebore, resleeve, fit repair sleeves, and power hone any size of engine.

Crankshaft Regrinding

At Engine Reco & Parts we can regrind and recondition all serviceable crankshafts, small, medium and large, up to 2 metres in length, with our crank grinder, which is probably the largest in the state.

All marked cranks need to be crack-tested prior to any reconditioning procedures being carried out.

Cranks can also be reground & polished to meet all requirements.
